An Indonesian-born writer-director of Chinese descent, drawn to stories of redemption and transformation.
Taking inspiration from contemplative filmmakers like Hirokazu Kore-eda, as well as visionary directors such as David Fincher and Denis Villeneuve, I specialize in crafting character-driven stories rich in emotional nuance, where meaning often emerges through silence, gesture, and atmosphere.
I believe every directorial choice must serve the film’s core intention. For me, the ultimate responsibility of a writer-director is to uncover that intention and pursue it with clarity and conviction..
